SAE Rating Achieved without Additional Products
Windyne's SAE rating of 6.86%+ is based on using ONLY our "stand alone" Flip & Slide Flex Fairing.
It has been rumoured that the fuel saving claims made by some fixed fairing manufacturers may have included the use of additional fuel saving devices such as frictionless tires, boat tail, gap fairing, etc.
Now, if our customers are achieving a 8% to 14% fuel savings average without the use of additional fuel saving devices, just imagine the results that could be obtained if they were to use them in addition to our patented Flip and Slide Fairings!
Product Design and Functionality Came First...
As global greenhouse gas emissions continue to raise concern, the trucking industry races to improve environmental efficiency and avoid government restrictions and punitive sanctions.

Windyne Fairing Systems did not rush to market with a rigid, inflexible, trailer fairing to capitalize on rising fuel costs!. Rather, Windyne believed that our trailer skirts had to adjust to the needs of fleet operators and to its drivers. Therefore we created the Windyne Flip & Slide Flex Fairing System to ensure genuine savings (regardless of the position of the rear axles), ease of use, and durability on the road.
This is why we are like the 'Cadilac' of Trailer Fairings - there simply isn't another trailer fairing on the market like ours!
What About the Competition?
Our patented design horizontally adjusts and vertically retracts, allowing our fairing to cover the largest surface area at all times.

Fixed Fairings Facts:
Fact #1: All fixed fairing test's [including the SAE test] are recorded with the bogey wheels in the forward position. Which means that most fixed fairing companies are able to achieve a respectable SAE Rating under these optimized test conditions.
Fact #2: Fixed fairings lose efficiency and fuel savings [averaging around 2% fuel savings] when bogey wheels are moved back from the fixed fairing to adjust for normal load and weight distribution. Please note all the open space which creates turbulance and drag during vehicle operation. Some drivers are reporting trailer instability when using fixed fairings.
Fact #3: Slanted fixed fairings, in addition to having less coverage, have been known to deflect road spray and debris into on-coming traffic.
Fact #4: Maximum Coverage = Maximum Aerodynamics and therefore = Maximum Savings.
This fixed fairing offers little or no benefit.
Quite simply, we believe that we have the best fairing on the market.
With patented features such as vertical retraction (Flip) and horizontal telescoping (Slide) our fairing provides full access to the undercarriage and quick access to frequently used areas such as the Trailer Jack, Reefer Unit, etc...
